What is the Girton Giving Day?
Girton Giving Day is a chance for the College community to come together and make a difference to our students by supporting the Annual Fund.
How can I get involved?
- You can help us spread the word about our Giving Day online and amongst your friends.
- You can take part in a Giving Day challenge.
- You can make a gift and become a Giving Day donor.
What are we fundraising for?
The Girton Giving Day 2024 will fundraise for the Annual Fund, which funds the areas of greatest need in the College. Whether that is breaking financial barriers by freezing rents or providing top up bursaries, or underpinning the Girton Skills Programme to equip students with the tools and resilience to flourish both in their studies and as they take their first steps on their career pathways. How do you process my gift and what does it cost?
Debit or credit card gifts are processed via Stripe and their processing fees are as follows:
- Donations made via UK debit or credit cards are charged at 1.5% + 20p
- Donations made via European debit or credit cards are charged at 2.5% + 20p
- Donations made via non-European debit or credit cards are charged at 3.25% + 20p

Can I make a regular gift?
Yes. Click here to set up a regular donation via the College's CAF Donate Page.
Can I make a tax effective gift from outside the UK?
Yes. It is possible to make a tax effective donation to Girton from the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore and a number of European Countries.
US: US donors can make a gift here
Canada: The University of Cambridge is recognised by Revenue Canada for the purposes of charitable giving to the University and Colleges, and is authorised to issue receipts on behalf of both to enable Canadian donors to claim deductions when computing their taxable income. Please let us know by email on making your donation if you require a receipt.

How will you use my information?

Girton College likes to keep in touch with all our alumni and supporters and the data provided will be used by the College for alumni relations and fundraising purposes.
